Comming to dead end. (faulty)

I just purchased HL2 and am currently in the water hazard level. Im having a problem where i am on the fan boat and i have just gone through the docks and so on, i come out of a tunnel into a big opening and i have no where to go. The map stops like when you go out of the map on a multiplayer game. I have restated the game and so on to no avail. Has this happened to anyone else?

anyone?? otherwise im going to just reinstall hl2 and be very pissed off. It didnt work for 4 hours the other day when i got the game becaue of a steam fault, im starting to get the shits with this game.

ok, the first picture is the tunnel i enter, the second is me exiting the tunnel and the last 2 are me in a bay with no where to go on the fan boat.

Man....Sort out your grahics card, I wouldn't even bother playing Half Life looking like that....oh and it is a driver issue, the graphics are corrupt, So so spend some cash......

Dude, they are just screen shot that have been made small using ms pain, thats why they look bad. The rest of the game runs perfect up until that point. So how about you stop waisting my time by making stupid prosumtions and maybe try and give help of just shut up.

Its a driver issue and the graphis are corrupt? Eh? Which is it?

bleachr33 - Have you tryed reinstalling your graphics drivers? To me that looks like you have gotten past a loading point without it actually loading (I have heard of a few people with that prob). You could try loading back a level or to and going through again, see if you hit a loading phase this time round.

Other than that, I think reinstalling may be your only hope. Sorry dude, but good luck anyway.

It looks from your pictures as if the game failed to recognize the trigger to load the next level.

You can use a map code to reload the level you are on or load the next level.

Press the key to the top left of your keyboard, next to 1, to bring up the console. If that doesn't do anything go to Options-->Keyboard-->Advanced and tick Enable Developer Console and try pressing the key next to 1 again.

Bring up the console and look at the top right of the screen for the map code. It will be something like d2_canals_07 or something. Type in the console:

map [whatever the map code is]

That will reload the level you are trapped on if you want to try it again and hope the bug isn't there. Or type:

map [whatever the map code is but add 1 to the number at the far right]

That will probably bring up the next level that the game should have loaded but failed to.

ok i sortged it out, i went back to the chapter before and replayed everything, what had happened was the big massive flood gates in that dry dock thing were already opened so i just went through. Turns out when i replayed it from the chapter before the flood gates were meant to be closed ad i had to go and open them. So there is a new bug to add to the game.
