For what?

Please please, cant you write _something_ about what youre trying to do?

OK if i must.

Futuristic based ninja vs seal/swat team. Almost grey fox ninja type vs swat guys snake.
Need more?

lol.. talk about a detailed discription. No design doc to look at that discribes everything in detail?

hah what can i say i need a story writer too! But i have the basic outline of the game out on piece(s) of paper and I need to see how it will look other than in my mind.

So Far I have 2 people on my team and anyone else is glad to join but i know everyone just gunna say "well you dont have an idea on what it is gut a like you unl33t nubz0rz!!!111" and I dislike that.

I want a group of people to decide the mods background and ideas NOT just my ideas! So if anyone wants to step up and help me regardless of what ideas i have yet or not than e-mail me. But if you want to just come here and tell me how much im going to fail because i dont have my ideas in the right order, then dont even bother posting. Im just kinda mad because of last posts ive posted. Not at the people posting on this thread.

Great attitude there. Your so going to become pro :stare:

No comment on the post before this, lol.

ok r3coil, with an attitude like that your just asking for people to hassle you.

1) your rude

2) you refuse point blank to accept advice from people that have been doing it longer than you

3) you've clearly just decided seconds before posting that you want to make a mod, yet have no idea what your even trying to do

4) you will fail, anyone can tell you that

5) if you don't want people to be honest, then don't post. Don't assume everyone here will just be all polite and tell you what you want to hear. It's bad form and will do you NO favors

6) you need to quit and start again and do it properly, nobody in their right mind will join anything as badly setup as this. You show no ability to even run a mod, you admit to wanting to throw loads of idea's at others so they can do the hard work for you until you happen on something that might work.

So to sum up, if you can't handle honest opinions (and you will fail unless you change your plans and attitude) then you shouldn't even try and make a game.

Your mod is just a bunch of other people's idea's thrown together, an example of how not to make a mod. You clearly know its bad, or you wouldn't be telling people not to post negative comments. You just want everyone to say ooooh great idea, yeah lets all just drop everything and help you on something you yourself have no idea about. IT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

So go back to the drawing board, and come up with something more solid, don't insult those who try to help you, and accept advice when its given to you, be it negative or positive, its all useful.

seriously i agree completely if fenric used correct grammar

You're Rude as in You are rude
not Your Rude as in That rude belongs to me

but seriously r3coil mod people need to do the exact opposite of what you're doing... like be specific, solid, and nice

You do know, dassbaba, that you're supposed to capitilize the 'i'. You're also expected to capitilize the first letter of a new paragraph, not just any random word in the middle of a sentance..

Pfft. That's not even English..

I didnt mean to be rude and give off the impression but, I just got really annoyed with the fact that every thread I read is "Your idea is bad and I hate it and not another alien vs human or not another CS clone." I can take peoples opinions good or bad because trust me i work with people that have some crudy attitudes. But its just that all i wanted was someone with a little extra time to draw me 1 or 2 simple pictures. If no one wants to i can understand because its kinda vauge, no big deal. But i didnt mean to give off such the attitude i did, and i appalogize.

I dont have a mod, website, coder, modeler, story , or mapper, i have an idea.

I put this idea together myself so its not a group of people

I was only trying to make my idea stronger by getting input from others

Good job

If you dont know exactally what you want to do from the beginning, your going to start wandering all over the place and will end up with nothing signifigant.

Have you written your ideas down (ie, a design doc)?

Ideas in your head are very "fluid" . They will change and mold themselves to conform to any other ideas or gameplay features you want. This is great if all you want to do is think about a mod, but you cant make a mod like that. You need ideas that are "hard", written down, inflexible. Then and only then will you see which ideas truely work together and which need to be rethought.

When you write them down, it should be in the form of a set of rules. If you can, they shoudl be deailed enough so that if you really wanted to, you could play the game in a rudimentary form on a board with dice.

If you've already written them down, then GREAT! You've accompished more than most people have. But dont pat yourself on the back just yet because now, you gotta' start on the hard stuff.*

*to paraphrase Major Payne.

Yeah ive written them down and have an outline of what i want to do.

Dont worry guys, i got it covered and I did it all myself, Check it out!

congrats now to regian the respect lost from this incident :"(

Indeed.. loads of people join mods to get into the game bizz to get experience in how things are handeld, its like an internship.
They will learn allot more if they join a wel organized mod with a high succeed value and a constant stream of enthousiasm from the leader that will inspire you to do work

And visit gamedev.net. you will find everything you need about how to set up a mod or how to writ a design doc. at that place
