Condemned 2: Bloodshot Teaser Trailer

I enjoyed the first one although it got kinda repetetive at times. Can`t wait for this one.

great, but i cant ever play it...its not for PC which is bullshit.

Cool can't wait cos I really enjoyed the first :)

yay more Hobo bashing, shit trailer though, looks exactly like the first, should just give it a subtitle and not the '2' like the Splinter Cell games etc.

I can't wait for this game, I just beat #1 (which IS NOT scary, btw. too much fun to be scary), and I want to see what happens, that was such a cliffhanger at the end, dammit!

Also - Ethan Thomas looks WAY different in #2... But doesn't he look similar to Sam Fisher in Splinter Cell: Conviction?

The first one is for PC, so I'm sure they'll eventually make #2 for PC.

Looks good. Too bad they have ruined the Ethan Thomas character.

Condemned... the only video game to truly scare me. I was frightened to even put the damn thing on at times.

You'd think the fact you can taze, kick and bludgeon your way through junkies and the like would turn out to be more fun, but it's a testament to Condemneds excellent atmosphere.

I look forward to 2.

they sure love releasing their screens, vids ftw Monolith.

Yeah, I'm starting to think I should include something like this in my signature. "too bad it's not... or Let's hope it's coming to the PC"

It's all too common.

Another game I'll not get to experience due to the ****ed up cut-throat console market.

I mean, has anything ever sounded like so much fun?
Monolith's supernatural hobo killing action game
lmfao

Loved the first one for its gritty combat. Hope the second one delivers more in spades :D

FFS i knew they had given Ethan a new persona for this one from the already released material but i never thought it would be this shit, i hate his character. We are supposed to feel sorry for him now or somthing?

The actual gameplay looks pretty good though. I loved the original.

I never gave a shit about the main character, so as long as I get to smash crazy homeless people in the face I'm happy!

So basically they have pissed all over the Ethan Thomas character and turned him into a walking talking cliche.

Good going.

Can't say I ever cared about the main character so i am not too fussed, as long as it's not as in your face as the prince in pop 2 that is :|

I've played the first level, and first of all, the character is fine as he is. It just sort of works out in-game.

Also, if you loved the first one, you will love the second. They keep the formula they had, and added on a few special moves you can do in combat. It works great.

Oh, and it's still freaky as all hell. Best part in the first level is the end when you get a "WHAT THE F***!!" moment. :) It's great and you'll all love it when you play it.

Ya the new trailer looks ****ing INSANE! I cant wait!

I loved the first game and couldn't give a shit about anything else besides the combat and the scary elements. Definitely the scariest game I've ever played.

I barely even remember the character from the first game...

I'd agree that their changes don't seem to be particularly inspired, but saying they "ruined the Ethan Thomas character" is a bit of a stretch. He barely had a character in the first place, let alone one that was in danger of being ruined.

Who gives a toss about the charatcer when you can run about hitting people with lead pipes? :)

I do. ;(

It's not like Ethan's character is core to a good Condemned experience. He wasn't anything spectacular and I wouldn't consider him a focal point to the game. But I have to agree with Tycho from PA on this:

I was sad to hear that they got rid of Greg Grunberg for the main character's voice, as it was his work as much as anything else that fixed their world in an authentic place. In a game that goes so surreal, having someone of his natural talent provided a nice balance. It's that same thing you see in his character on Heroes - he's the character who makes the most sense on that show, and it's not just because of how he's written. We simply believe him. They say that they want the character to represent "edgy darkness," which is chilling. Apparently they want him to be "teh hardcorez," a tribulation we were made to endure in the second Prince of Persia. I'm not sure they understand what an actor is, or what they do.

What made the game scary for me was its surrealism, and I think Ethan's understated character accented that. It felt kinda Lynchian to me in a way, with its "normal" parts - its characters and dialogue - usually being more subdued or even banal in contrast with its horror. And I appreciated that by the last third of the game. The absence of a strong character presence made everything seem all the more unreal as if stuck in a nightmare where everything is vaguely off, and it made me really wonder just what the **** was going on (in a good way) when other crazies sarted cropping up.

Turning him into some hardened, "gritty", rebel lawdog cliche is counterproductive to all of that. It's just not going to be the same when the guy I'm playing goes all hardboiled. I'm not saying they need to bring Greg back or that the game will suffer abysmally because of Monolith's changes. But man, this is something that could have been so easily avoided. I'm just hoping it's minor.

All this criticism and nobody has even played the game?

If it works out, it works out. I just don't think that's likely.

how were you able to play the first level?

Looks like they went from crazy hobos to straight-up zombies this time

they're "the influenced"

is this game not coming to PC!?!? i mean when it ships next month

Nah, my guess is it'll be ported after a while like the original.

Still, I don't give a rat's ass about the main character. Quite frankly, I never liked the original voice acter- the way he delivered the lines just didn't sound believable to me. I'm just SO pumped to finally get scared again! :D

wasn't the voice actor the guy from Heroes? you know, the cop that can read minds or whatever? i didn't mind him

either way, i'm glad i have a 360 cause i wants this :p
