configuring hammer 3.4

Im kinda just starting out and willin to learn how to make makes for the source engine for halflife.

need help though not sure how to configure hammer to get started any help would be gr8.

At the top of this forum there is a video tutorial on getting started. Honestly we can only help so much because we're all learning the system as well.
