www.hlportal.de just got a mail stating that Valve will release a 36mb CS:S Update tonight.

There will be a 36 MB Counter-Strike:Source beta release tonight at ~
6:00PM. If you are running the Cafe Administration Server (CAS) you
should see very little update time and network load.

ok the only thing that can weight 36 mb is TEXTURES
so what does need textures:
-Player models
-Weapon models
-Maps

i think it could be player models although even 6 models wont be 36 mb (think so)
so i assume
1. some VERY HEAVY code changes (i dont really think that)
2. a/some new map(s)

With all the ported maps that were made with the HL2 stolen build, it wouldn't surprise me if VALVe released a second map to appease the people playing those.

True, it would be nice to see this new stuff (map, textures, better netcode, etc..), but after the debacle last night I'm not getting my hopes up.

I hope they fix damn skywalking/getting over walls. I HATE THAT. I hope they fixed the weapon reloading, I hope they disable maps made with stolen Hammer, I hope they fix WEAPON RECOIL AND CROSSHAIR refresh.

If they fix those I will play CS:S more often.

there already are some new maps out that are user made, some of them are pretty fun actually... go dl them at the usual places
