So I will again repeat this question, were they too stupid to fact check or did they fact check and just flat out lied? And again, I never claimed democrats don't lie. I asked you to give me some examples of when they have lied on national tv and not be challanged on what they said. Why will you not give me those examples?

FrEnZy, the only reason I identify myself as a democrat is because I want to be seen as the direct oppisite of these neocons known as the republicans. I am almost equally disgusted at the democrats in power now. So once demcorats do get power back, as anyone is better than these republicans, I will spend a lot of time posting about the outrageous things democrats are doing. Anything from supporting what Israel is doing to how terrible they are at saying, and doing, what they really mean and not just trying to look more like the republicans to gain votes. And how people like Glirk attack me on the basis that I am a liberal just shows you they can't form a better argument. You know that neocons are really aliens in disguise, right? Their purpose is to take over the earth and drink the blood of the Arabs. The lieing part is just the tip of the iceberg. The basis that republicans (current republicans) lie more than democrats (current democrats) is based on the fact that the Bush adminsitration has lied more than the Clinton Admistration and has caused alot more damage according to those lies. Republicans do not lie more on the basis of being republican. This is why No Limit keeps asking for examples. He wants to see evidence of democrats lieing as much as republicans because this is what he is basing his opinion on.

Also, Don't be so sure that Clinton lied about the Lewinsky. If you look into it, there is siginificant evidence proving that the whole affair was a scandal in order to get him out of power. (A campaign of almost 5 million was spent to find ways of getting clinton out of power).

Bush has lied(more misinformed...but we will go with lie to make everyone happy) the U.S. So did Clinton. We can look at it many different ways. Bush didn't know what he was saying was wrong as it came from a very credible agency that made a big mistake. He was just as mislead as we were but he still reported something that was wrong.

I had heard some rumblings before the invasion that something like this might happen but i didn't really take it seriously. But i'm not a military planner it's not my job to think that far ahead.

In retrospect Saddam was the gel that kept the country together. Now it's a horrible shitfest of a country. Terrible beyond comprehension. It probably needs to split up into seperate sovereign states because there seems to be enough violence to imply they have no interest in co-existing with eachother. One area for sunnis, one for shiites, one for kurds. Who gets Bagdhad? Unless there's significant improvement in the area of sectarian slayings the U.N will have to seriously consider some partitioning....

Bold, righteous, but John Gibson is forgetting one very important aspect of trying destroy terrorists. Remember that issue of asymetrical warfare? You can't fight them traditionally. You need to kill 100 civillians for every 1 terrorist. Which seems to be the ratio so far.

Israel can't defeat Hezbollah. This is a trimming operation. Like trimming a vine that has grown wild. It'll grow back eventually but you need to keep trimming it every few years. Terrorists don't surrender, they don't negotiate. You have to manage them. People who think Hezbollah will be defeated and cease to exist and Israels North will be secure you are deluding yourself.

As for lieing. ALL POLITICIANS LIE. Being a politician can rape you of your moral judgement, these politicians become ethically numb. Few politicians/senators have the will to stay true. You're constantly bombarded with thin red line issues everything becomes so blurred over time. Some lies have devastating consequences, obviously. But the American people have twice demonstrated they're comfortable with Republicans in charge. They must be doing something right.

It's similar in Australia. Our government in association with a wheat exporter was flooding Saddams sanction imposed regime with money. This was against U.N ruling. Money that was probably used to fund terrorists post-invasion to kill Americans our supposed allies. While such a lie is not as momentous as the lies that led to the Iraq invasion, the government and leader will win the next election. Lies of a certain magnitude, that affect foreign countries aren't really of any concern to voters, IMO. People are more interested in internal issues. Which is why Republicans will probably win again unless there's some massive internal scandals like George Bush touching a sexy teen schoolgirls ass.

Until the lies lead to mandatory drafts to the military and tens of thousands of American deaths then it becomes an issue that could potentially hand power to the democrats.

I think it was Biden that had a similar plan like that. I am still on the fence on what needs to happen there to stop this violance. I believe after the mess we have created there is no way to win it.

I mean look at all the things we kept on discussing right before this middle east mess started, it was all republican issues.
