Well, it seems that the gold packages have started to arrive which means that the included prima strategy guide is also out there....

As a HL2 fan who has legally purchased HL2, I dread being smothered in HL2 spoilers..

I feel that I should just pass a cautionary reminder to all who are concerned, be very wary of what you see, I used to be someone who would see the black spoiler box and give into temptation.... but now that it is so close I want to experience hl2 properly.....

so just remember, inside every thread is a lurking spoiler, be alert but not alarmed :naughty:

That's with the CE, the gold Steam package gets the full strategy guide (not Raising The Bar though).

the sampler comes in the retail ce version, if you purchase gold you get the full thing.

Yeah, I wouldnt be happy if I saw a spoiler that wasnt in a thread marked as such. Id be for putting anyone that posts unmarked spoilers on suspension till the game is released.

Just kidding, no idea, havent read any reviews myself yet. Personally if someone gave someting away and I read it, it wouldn't realyl bother me. It is only a game, and I often use a walkthrough or guide to get voer a difficult section if I am really stuck.

Having said that, it would be nice to not see any major spoilers.

just have a look through the first few pages of the General Half-Life 2 area, there are plenty of threads with pics

I got my Gold package yesterday and so far I've managed not to spoil anything. I read the last 30 or so pages (it's a CS:S section, not the last minutes of HL2) and thats it. I'm proud of myself.

I've found something important today. I've heard the game contains some big spoilers too. If you don't want to be spoiled you shouldn't play the game

I don't understand why there are people who are so afraid of spoilers they don't even read a review. OK I don't want to find out either how the game ends but the only spoilers I've read from reviews are things I would find out soon after starting in HL2 anyway.
