Cool weapons you'd like to see in HL2 mods

List the cool weapons/gadgets you'd like to see in HL2 mods!!!

1. I'd love to have a katana or broadsword that's physically simulated so I can cut zombies in half

2. one of those shotguns from the movie "Minority Report" that fires a sonic wave thingy and blows people back 20 feet :naughty:

3. a welding torch or something that you can use to weld stuff together and create objects and traps.

4. a harpoon gun that fires huge spears and can impale people (like in painkiller) :upstare:


5. one last thing is a simple lighter than you can light things on fire. Maybe if you find cans of hair spray or other flammables you can pick them up and use them as a flamethrower

Sword of some type
Gluon gun (if it is not included in HL2)
A manipulator type gun that alows you to pick up NPCs or PCs and launch them. (Keyframe animations blended with ragdoll physics)

I'd like to see a nail gun , like the ones from poke 146(not sure if thats the right name), but i want to be able to stick the crowbar in the manipulator and then impale ppl with that.

A crowbar gun made out of crowbars that shoots crowbars.

from what i saw, the blast of the manipulator could give quite an impulse on a buggy, why shouldnt the same thing happen with people? except that people are lighter, and the blow would be bigger for them

New Weapon Idea: A weapon that shoots out spinning saw blades. Cuts your opponents in half (inspiration from HL2 E3 2K4 vids).

The Original Unreal Tournament had a sawblade launcher. Primary fire bounced off walls and decapitated people, secondary fire was an explosive sawblade. But still, this would be a cool weapon.

A heavy weapons gun.. I.E. Similar to the SAW in Opposing force.. I love spraying monsters with it

+ I hope the stun gun can actually be used as a stun gun and not just a melee weapon (WALLOP)

Burst laser rifle --
Can fire in bursts of three 2 second beams. These beams can come in a color you choose (Instead of a set one, I myself prefer red). The beam cuts anything you aim it on in half. This technology already exists today, for cutting steel, but it's of course a larger machine not something you'd hold in your hands. This said, the laserrifle is as realistic as it could be. The burst fire (Possible Semi-Auto with delay) is for barrel/weapon overheating.

Imagine being able to cut a car in two, take a combie, slice him in three or four parts, take the moving part that's left, take the car, and make some art.

Thats what I thought, but I just haven't heard anything about the OICW being in the game, it was the only thing remotely close that I could think of

a jackhammer, a "dirty bomb" and anthrax. Also, an EMP gun (sorta like how they took the power out in ocean's eleven) It wouldn't do damage to humans, but it'd be cool to see sparks fly everywhere.

I know, i loved that gun. Brawrrwrrrwrrrr (that's the sound it makes as it burrows into your brains).

I would also love to see some sorta perfect dark-like robot guy who you could control remotely and share their vision. ya know, kinda like a scout. But it would be like a gameboy you held in front of you, and watched the screen. That way if you were controlling it and an enemy saw you, you could still see a little bit over the controller to be able to react. I dunno, those remote control gadgets in FPS shooters were really cool to me.

They pulled off that effect really well in a UT mod I believe.
