Coolest trailer

I find the ME2 one cool because it makes me feel excited about playing the game just by watching it. It combines the three essential elements: badass characters, the promise of an epic story, and lots of lovely explosions.

But hey, what's cool is all personal opinion. Keep the trailers coming!

Have to agree that the Old Republic trailer was the best I've seen this year.

Out of the trailers listed on this page, the winner is World in Conflict: NYC, hands down. Most of the others were just average, run-of-the-mill action fests whereas NYC was simply classy. It's like it had this distinct Michael Mann feel to it, like a semi-documentary where we just kind of witness crazy stuff happening. Or maybe I was just fooled by the Audioslave in the background. Either way, I thought NYC trailer had subtlety and finesse, and none of that "hey look at this guy pulling off this awesome move, look at it, just look at it, see how cool he is!!!" crap.

Awesome stuff, hadn't seen it before. Thanks Mikael!

No it isnt. You are wrong. A few helicopters blew up plus a few explosions. That and horrible horrible music.

Massive generally has great trailers:

The Old Republic trailer ... I had hoped that nobody was going to post that one, because it is desperately uncool. When you watch it, remember that however awesome looking it is, you're watching the trailer for an MMO. Remember that, and cry with sorrow.

Alright, if you say so!

Yeah, that and class. It had class. Here's a nice, funny parody of a guy who doesn't have class:

See the difference? The typical ho-hum action trailer is exactly the sort of material the video above is successfully parodying. Mind you, not all the trailers posted here in this thread are like that.

Having now watched the other three trailers you posted, I have to agree. The Seattle one had a bit of silly dialogue that reminded me of some goofy tongue-in-cheek game like Red Alert (which I didn't find very fitting), but other than that, they were all great. I have to give it to Massive for having the guts to create trailers that aren't afraid to break the mold. All of them had this, uh, I don't know, "adult" feel to them? Oh god, now I feel weird for using the word adult, but I can't think of a better description right now.
