Clarification.

So you are saying there is no cast system in India? All i stated in that post was that there is a massive cast system in India. Nothing more, nothing less. I never said the cast system is the root cause of the behaviour so that's irrelevant. All i stated was there is a cast system.
Ah, I see. So quite apart from the posts which have argued that the "massive caste system" isn't much of a factor anymore...you weren't linking that system to the discussion topic at all. There was no attempt at argument or relevance. You were actually just posting a completely random fact.

OP: "ugh, this is just horrible what happened in india."
xdrive: "In Norfolk we besport ourselves around the Maypole!!"

Good thing I know that you're full of shit, because if you were telling the truth you would be a big old dirty spammer, eh?

Threads like these can turn out to be surprisingly good fun.

I hope Xdrive doesn't get banned. Guys like him make discussions a lot more fun, albeit those discussions leaning on the ignorant side.

No, I'm not agreeing with him, because I am ignorant on whether India is a shit place to live or not.
Just to clarify, India isn't a shit place to live. We may not have bright and shiny cities like our censorious neighbour to the N-E (Hint: CHINA), but this is mainly because we cannot afford to distribute wealth that inequitably; we are democratic and the government is always on it's toes. Our seconadary education has long been awesome (discounting student suicides due to pressure!), enterpreneurship has become common in the last 2 decades, our IT and healthcare are among the best in the world, even primary education is on the rise - China is a manufacturing powerhouse because they focused on primary education earlier than us.

The greatest of India's problems, corruption, might soon be rooted out. The Right To Information Act is one of the most powerful transparency instruments anywhere in the world. If this pace of progress continues, I'm very optimistic about India's prospects in this decade.
