When i start a dedicated server, and add the ip on the server list it shows up. But when someone adds the server over the internet they cant see it.
Although unknown internet people can join it.
My friendling used to start the server but its doing the same thing for his server now.
Oh and how do you find out the Ip ingame? because when we both start the servers the ips are the same except one numbers off, and i might be looking at the wrong Ip.

If you can say anything to help please do.

Normally I might have thought it was a firewall/router problem but if other people join it that can't be it.

Are you sure you're giving them the right ip?
Go to http://www.whatismyip.com and give people that ip. If you've been giving out the ip 192.168.#.### then this would be the problem. 192.168.0.100 (or whatever # it ends with) is just the ip that your router assigns to your computer; only computers LANned with you can see that. whatismyip.com will give you the real ip you should use to have other computers connect to you.

Thank you snakebyte,
The IP on that site doesnt give you a valid IP for counter-strike does it? I thought it had to end in :27015(or somthing like that), the site only gives me a 9 digit number.

the IP addresses might be your LAN IP addresses, and make sure your not looking at the master servers IP addresses
to get your internet IP go to www.showip.com
