Coming 2005? And will it be free? Probably not huh?

What will it contain and be like? Speculate, guess, wish! :)


I predict guess and wish(mostly): Many more weapons, vehicle combat, no crosshair - aiming through sights, realistic ballistics, much more complex "damage" model of players.
 
Since CS:S supports more players than the previous installments I think it's safe to assume the next one will have at least 64 players, and for that you'd need bigger maps! Maybe more tactical scenarios rather than bum-rushing a bomb-site; something more sophisticated like take&hold objectives.

I don't see vehicles coming into play though, unless they completely change the gameplay style. :)

Maybe then even I could learn to like CS :p

Well... maybe it wouldn't be vehicle on vehicle battles. I could be that as terrorists or bankrobbers you should take your cars and rob a bank-transport and get away before the CT or police get to the scene and then get back to your hiding place and hold off the cops long enough to escape in your plane... Off to Bahamas! ;)

There are endless possibilities!

:sniper: the ct-s should be the swat team and the police shoud be some ai morons(equipped only with pistols), the terrorist team could take some hostages and both teams lose a lot of money if a hostage dies :dork: .If done correctly this could be kickass :naughty:

It sure would. Especially with the ability to "grab hold" of the hostage and have a gun to their head or knife to their throat. That way you could have the hostage as a human shield. BTW the Police should lose much more money than the terrorists when a hostage die. And maybe the terrorists wouldn't get very much money for killing a police CT.
 
As long as they don't make it BF1942 style, I don't care what they do. Never liked that game.

They need to keep some of the CS feel obviously, but at the same time start an online-gaming-revolution. Shouldn't be too hard :p
 
Yeah, it's a pitty though, that when you have a 64 player server on the CS: Source beta, you can't have all the slots playing. So it's not really 64 players, its actually 41.

Also, I don't think VALVe are stupid, and I don't think they will include a single player in it, unless they "really" pull it off properly. In fact, I think the only reason it didn't succeed is because people, when playing the SP, were thinking that they are playing against realistic AI, or whatever. They were just looking forward to it too much.

Anyway, Yeah, nothing too big. Hopefully something like a city map though, where maybe the T's can select out of a few buildings where to plant a bomb, and the Ct's are meant to find it in a city, and they keep getting clues the closer they get - So maybe as you reach one street away a phone call comes in from a hostage or something.
 
im pretty sure with the new css (more over the new SDK) you could just mod vehicles and make that bank robber shpeel you just described
