Hey guys, I was just wondering if any of you had any screenshots of Counter-Strike: BETA 1 lying around? I'm looking preferably for an in game shot.

And yes, I am talking about the first version that was released nearly six years ago

It's a hybrid of the BETA versions... I want authentic BETA 1

Especially if I can get a shot of that cs_prison map that was unplayable.

CS Nation did a "History" article long ago. It had authentic beta shots, including OLD OLD cs_estate.

Not sure if these are beta got these off a site a while ago. I will find my beta 1 install file tho. I know i had it. (its been way to long.)

They are from BETA 1 too, but I'm looking for full in-game shots if possible.

I remeber on of the first maps, it was a desert map, and it was night time, and you had to rescue the hostage, i forget what the map name was, but man it was fun. :E

Yea those are not beta one, as you said, i think there where only two or three maps for the beta one if i can remeber, and one of them was what i said before, i can't remeber anymore except i remeber, a map i think it was a update version of the beta, where cts started by a canal, and the terrorist started in a warehouse, and there was a tunnel connecting them, and it was also at nite.

Aight I think I found the beta 1 screenies =), I know the maps are the beta one but dunno if its actual beta 1, you guys confirm for me.

those are all the pics that i can find that were in the beta one from what i can remeber when i used to play but, this website has some of beta 2 and 3 and when they where counterstrike was trying to mess around with vehicles.

I have beta 1 right here on a cd

Here's a screen of the install screen to show I aint bluffin. I'll go and install it now and take some screens.

[EDIT] Heh, getting this buggy peice of crap to run is more challenging than I thought.

The memories are all coming back to me. I miss the times we had to buy specific ammo for specific weapons. I can't believe how much I started remembering from maps that I've played when I saw those small pics from lots of maps. Those were the days. Everything looked butt ugly, and was buggy as hell, but we still loved it

Dux: I know it's hard to install. I tried it myself a few months ago. Didn't work..

yeah, I ended up having to replace the .dlls and cl_dlls with 1.5's to get it to work. Which means I have to copy over some models, sound and sprite files in order to get it to run. Can run all the maps now and stuff but without being able to buy any weapons or anything.
