The Counter-Strike blog has also been given a large overhaul, which you can check out here. We've also been busy uploading our video review of the latest Counter-Strike title. Can the true sequel to CS1.6 stand up as a worthy successor? Or is this sequel just an embarrassing child? Find out in our review below!

Lack of friendly fire in Classic Casual makes me not care enough to stop shooting if some guy walks in my way.

Shouldn't even alert you if ff is off...

Probably to make sure people don't get in the habit of shooting team mates, in case they ever decide to move up to Classic Competitive, which has friendly fire.

Indeed, that's the rule you follow.

Casual = ff off
Competitive = ff on

It's conceivable that in casual mode (which use community dedicated servers) that some servers might mess with the server commands and turn ff on though. On the other hand, Valve run all the competitive servers so competitive mode will always have it on.

I thought Valve only runs the matchmaking servers? AFAIK custom servers can be set to either Casual or Competitive which disables/enables FF and team collision.
