Counter-Strike Source bug...

I keep getting this bug in CS Source where a red line that looks like a laser appears on the screen occasionally whenever a shot is fired. Anyone how how to fix that?

I think what you're getting is a server mod that captures the last shot that killed you and leaves it as a stationary red line from point of fire to point of impact?

Yeah its a mod. I get it quite often. Don't be afraid.

yes its a mod that is server side. you are able to turn it off usually by typing in settings in the text window then turn it off there.

its called deathbeam, disable it like giant said above. You have to do it on every server you play on that as it running.

I actually kind of like having it on. It helps you know when you've been sniped or snuck up on.

I agree with everyone, well exept I already knew about deathbeam..

Oh and the servers that sometimes screams FIRST BLOOD or RAMPAGE etc. thats not a bug either, its called quakesounds, you can disable all the downloading of sounds from the autoexec.cfg or config.cfg by entering this line: "cl_downloadfilter "nosounds"".
