Ever wanted to pretend you're in a cartoon? Have an obsession with anime? Do you drool when you play XIII? Then this may be the pack for you.

There isn't a whole lot to say besides that these are pretty dang-diddly sweet. SammatH has taken the defaults and edited their skins instead of doing a full-blown reskin, and the product is very very cool. As you can see from the render and screenies, they don't look bad at all in-game. He has even included shield and the chicken models!

A slight annoyance occurs if you aren't careful when you install these skins, though. If you play right handed, make sure you install the models from the file in the zip called "rmodels" or "lmodels" if you're a southpaw. Once you get in a game, the skins may appear black and nasty. Simply bring up your in-game VGUI (default is "H") and reselect left or right handed. This should make the black crap disappear.

This pack is simply awesome if you dig this kind of thing, and pretty silly looking if you don't. I love the pack personally, and I'm going to give it an 8, which is the highest I'd give a gimmick model. Definitely check this out, you will probably be pleasantly surprised.

You can add shader effects to all D3D/OpenGL games in the 3D tab of the ATi control panel if you have a relatively new ATI card.

Custom SmartShader effect plug-ins can be downloaded and added to the list, and I've seen the cartoony 'XIII' style plug-in available... so it's possible to convert any game to the XIII graphics style.

:dozey: I liked XIII's single player, multiplayer just sucked big ones. The Cell animated skin for CS is nice though, but I don't play CS so too bad for me.
