Just saw this demo and gave it a shot. It's got a deathmatch level where you shoot miniguns and missiles at opponents to blow them up (or just ram them) and a stunt level. Pretty fun. Here's some screens.

The demo is limited to 50 starts...but I really doubt I'll even play the demo nearly that many times.

Just in the deathmatch arena

Made a kill

About to head-on a guy

Same head-on, different angle

Ouch

You can press Delete at any time to freeze the action and the camera rotates around your car thus allowing these last 4 shots. F5 is for screenshots that you find in the demo's folder as TGA's.

Enjoy

Seems like a more intense version of Insane, needs more silliness though

If its only going to keep me busy for an hour or so, I think I'd rather keep my HDD free of its data.

You wait for bloody years, and then two come along at once. Full Auto demo came out today too. Downloading this now.

For some reason the terrain looks wierd. Like it's in 256 colors instead of 16 or 32 bit. The car looks nice.

Okay, this demo is seriously awesome. Both the deathmatch and stunt arena parts are really damn fun. Graphics are pretty, too!

Is the damage realtime rendered or is it prefixed?

Do you mean if I get hit in the side panel will it look the exact same if I got hit there some other time? Or do you mean the car just progressively gets worse looking no matter where you get hit.

I can't say for sure on the first one but there are unique damage bits. You'll see parts fly off, your car will start veering to the side, windows will be shattered and whatnot. It's pretty sweet.

BTW, has anybody gotten the MP to connect to the master server?

I think he ment if the car dents like in Mafia or if it damages the same way like in GTA.

I'm just wondering if you can dynamically crush the car. Simulated metal behaviour or something. It kinda was dynamic in flatout, but that wasn't really realistic (non hit polygons just didn't alter).

Well I don't think it has dynamic structure dmg like that but it looks damn good nonetheless. I have to goto work now but I took a very short clip in fraps when I was playing of a bit of the DM level.

The glass looks great as it flies when I hit that hard landing. The Divx compression kinda killed the quality though, oh well.

don't bother wasting your time downloading this god awfull buggy piece of shit demo...

the game runs like crap...which I'm guessing has something to do with the securom error I get when I start the game...companies should stop being so paranoid and put shit software in their games...if anyone is masochistic enough to even want this game in warez form they'll get it anyway...

before anyone says it my system, I can run the following games without a hitch(which looks 10x better btw): Doom3, HL2(and related games), Flatout, Max Payne 2, etc. etc.

Nvm, had to remove Daemon Tools.

Prince, It MUST be your machine.
I have the game running on everything maxed... 1280x1024(60hz) screen res.

And I just have a lowly FX5200 with 1gb of ram.

iT IS his computer and prince you dont play hl2 maxed out. If you cant play this game at full settings your NOT playing hl2 on high lol

This game's pure fun!
I haven't had this much fun since the original "Destruction Derby" and
"Vigilante 8".I'll definitely be buying this.Much more fun then Flatout.

It would have been nice to play around with the track editor and the race mode. However I just played some wreck mode online and it's quite good fun and the netcode seems decent.

It's fun for about 10 minutes...
Nothing I'd pay $40 for.

gogo ignoramus!

how about you stfu about things you obviously know nothing about?

I'm playing HL2+related mods/games on high settings...same with doom3 etc etc.

Whoa, pretty cool. It's like Tony Hawk or SSX, only with cars. O_O

Damnit I can't get this demo to work online, it can't contact the master server. Anyone got it working?

I tried it earlier & it got stuck at a screen saying "This demo does not represent the quality of the final game" (or something like that). I just had to laugh & the uninstall it.

It also tried to change my windows-media-player language to German or French or something; had to reinstall WMP9.

Doesn't look as fun as Interstate '76 and I bet the soundtrack isn't nearly as rockin'

The soundtrack blows.
Sounded like Simple Plan or Good Charlotte or some other gaytastic poser rock band.

Any game with music at the install screen blows

Also the stunt mode is kinda fun
