Creativity?

WTF is creativity? I had to make a flip book for physics(book with pages that when you flip animation ensues) which took me 4 hours to do. I had a great idea, to make it easier I would use graph paper so I would know exactly where each thing goes on the next page. The requirments were, 2 moving objects, 2 stationary objects, 1 object that moves over and over throughout the whole thing(like a flag waving or somthing simple, can have 3 more for extra credit) and color.

For my 2 objects in motion I did a ball being thrown that then decelerates to the ground and bounces, and the other was a rocket that blows up. I guess it was too complicated for the project so she took points away, because the bouncing added too many accelerations/decelerations even though I got it about right...I still lost points. For my stationary objects I made a road and a tree, and colored the tree green and the road black. For my moving objects I have a guy waving, a bird flying(the soul stealing raven), a box opening and closing(Bob the magical box that opens and closes) and a thing that goes from a greater than symbol to a dash(the decappitated alligator that won't stop snapping). Oh, and everything I drew was a square(except the bird) because it was on graph paper, so for the title I named it Squarevill: Where your dreams can come true. Sounds creative to me...but it wasn't for her, she gave me 26/50 points for it and turned it into the principal along with my other class work and now I am going to get a psychiatric review or somthing...

Effort still plays a big part in your grades though. :|

Oh and another time I wrote about the death star, why ewoks are cool and a bunch of other random sentence fragments that made up a paragraph.

My teachers dont care when I do crazy stuff. I got into a discussion with my English teacher about how we were all going to nuke each other and man-kind was going to have to start over again. Then some girl in my class said I scared her and she wanted me moved out.

I got kicked out of the class today by the principal, he told me I was wasting the teacher's time by being in the class. We just got a new physics teacher today and I told him the principal doesn't want me in the class because I am a waste of time, and he laughed and said the principal was wrong but the choice isn't up to him. The new physics teacher saw me reading "A Brief History of Time" so he probably knew I wasn't just some random moron. I am going to have my Dad meet with the principal and see if things can be worked out, because no one will listen to me.

If you bring in a parent they'll be scared shitless. At least at my school thats how it happens. The kids get made fun of by teachers and tell the principle and he doesn't do shit, but once they get a parent to complain they'll do almost anything to fix it.

Heh, on a very slightly related note. At work, a while back there was a manager giving me crap because I took my brake late in the day. He said it meant I would be in the store less time :| Anyway, he was patronising me a lot and I felt he was being pretty condescending. So I told him. Now, I wouldn't have minded his reaction so much...if had known what the word meant. Honestly, he had no idea, and kept saying completely unrelated things and then he was just plain insulting me. Suffice to say, even though I never mentioned the incident, I did take note of the fact that he is no longer employed at the store
