Crossbow Trick!!!!

I was playing around on a map provided with that mod, i did the good ol impulse 101 and messed around, guess what I just noticed?

If you take the crossbow and shoot it at a wall, at an angle, it will bounce off of the wall!!

I've got it to bounce off of a wall to cieling, to another wall so far.

Yeah I noticed that too. When you get to Nova Prospekt and have to kill the guards on the 3 watch towers...I was shooting the crossbow at the one guy in the middle in the 3rd tower, and it bounced off the railing on front of him. I was like "SHIT!" But then the guy to the left of him just flew from the tower and landed behind the wall. I was just...stund! O_O It was awesome. Wish I was recording it.

They bounce if you shoot at the ground too..i always play with zombies that way and try to kill them by bonucing the arrow at the ground first..

yeah, no mod required for that effect. the rods "naturally" richochet off of hard surfaces.

Its becouse the shots are physically simulated I think.

Indeed, everything is physically simulated, from the model of Gordon himself, right down to the crowbar.

The bolts also lose altitude if you shoot them long distances. Most of the other weapons are hitscan.
