EDIT: WOW...I am blind... Missed the extra "0" in front of those numbers... man I need more sleep.

EDIT2: Ahem...in an attempt to somehow salvage this thread...crouching can be better than prone because your head isn't such an easy target to hit. If they miss side to side of your head they completely miss rather than hit the rest of your body if you were prone :P

I was looking at this http://ubar.bf2s.com/unlocks.php and completely misread the Standard Deviation part.

I dont think so. That would only be the case if your enemy was aiming only for your head.

Yeah, maybe when crouched you wont always get shot in the head when you get shot, but your much more likely to get shot. If your prone, you probably will be hit in the head when shot, but the chances of you getting hit are much lower since you present such a smaller target.

Standing up is much much better in close quarters.

the l85A1 (the gun i use most) does not increase much in accuracy at all between prone and crouch, so i crouch- bigger target, yes, but less chance of headshots.

It all depends on the distance of the enemy.

prone has the greater % chance of headshots but also the lowest % chance of being hit. It's a gamble.

going prone quickly in any situation except when faced with a tank or loads of infantry is king

As a sniper, I have to say that I love people who prone all the time... bang, headshot! Especially when they're straight on.

I prone out of habbit.....I might have to stop that, but I generally survive!
