Crowds shocked in Everquest 2 sex scandal!

It's about time for another one of those cyber-events that sweep the whole internet - you know the type; Star Wars kid was one of the most popular. But now we follow the tale of Ceciliantas and his 'intimate' exposure in the MMORPG, Everquest 2.

The story begins here, and takes a few pages to really understand what's going on. Read on though, and it gets truly hilarious. This site is also good for a rather detailed summary of the events.

Basic cliff notes for anyone that wants them, however:

- Guy is caught cybersexing girl in his accidentally-unlocked apartment. Screenshots are taken.
- Said screenshots posted on above internet forum, Ceciliantas (the guy) denies everything, and begins issuing legal threats regarding slander and harrassment.
- Story blows out of proportion, his actual EQ girlfriend finds out and publically breaks up with him on forum. Word spreads, and people from far flung corners of the gaming universe pop by to say 'hi' and generally ridicule him.

Eventually revealed that the cybered girl is a man.

Oh dear.

If he had just admited it he would of just got laughed at abit but thats about all, maybe evenstar or whatever her name was would not of dumped him.

Meh, its his own fault, you should never go cyber with someone, its just silly unless you know them irl.

that is SO funny. Almost makes me want to buy EQ2... the social tricks you can play on people must be incredible.
 
I got EQ2, but I hardly talk to anyone on there, keep to myself, not been playing very long though, and I tend to stop playing for weeks at a time :P

Must have got pretty popular, or the guy really did get it closed down.. in which case his mistake is gonna be on every big site going... ooh can't wait haha

It turned out to be a guy that he was cybering...not a girl. :laugh:

what happened was his online girlfriend found out, and found out he'd been telling people she was his RL girlfriend (Evenstar being a female) so dropped him, made him look a fool (on top of him being caught out) Then to make matters worse the "girl" he'd cybered turned out to be a guy playing as a girl (common in RPG's n such)


Oh and this isn't the first time neither, apparantly he did it in some Final Fantasy game too, get caught that is. hehe.
