Crysis and Crysis Warhead Head to Steam

Just a quick update to the main news post.

Crysis Warhead Now Available Via Steam
Crysis Warhead is now available for purchase via Steam and to play for gamers in North America. In addition, the original Crysis is now available for purchase and play by gamers the world over. Outside of North America, Crysis Warhead will become available for play tomorrow (Thursday) via Steam.

Is that Thursday PST, or Friday GMT?

It is not fair that there is no pre-load function

When it is unlocked, can someone please confirm whether it has SecuRom or not? That will determine whether I get it.

It's unlocked, but what difference is securerom going to make to you, it's through steam, securerom isn't going to make jack squat to the way you play steam games.

Looks good. New weapons, new vehichles. You don't get that with a HL2 sequel :p

Haha! Though you don't get the same game repackaged either. Just imagine if HL2: EP3 was just based "on the other side of the forest" and you play as Barney. ;)

It does have securom and IT DOES make a difference because there are still 5 activation limits on the game (including the steam version just like bioshock)

Don't see how, you're only going to be able to use it on one steam account. Doesn't matter where the account is logged in.

Yes, it is the truth, but you don't need to worry about it as it's on steam.

Was uming and arring over this as I wasnt a fan of the original Crysis. It works out to be less than ?20 in the UK though which is a bargain imo. Will keep me busy untill L4D :D Needed a new MP game anyway as TF2 as getting a bit stale for me.

Edit: Do they email you the CD Key? Or is it assigned to the account? Would like to keep a record of it.

It's just assigned the account, it's like anything else on Steam, Valve's or otherwise, it's just yours and there are no issues using it.

You still need to ask EA for permission to keep using the game you bought after you've installed it 5 times. Which is bullshit, and why I won't be paying for any EA games until they stop that nonsense. (Also why I never bought Bioshock)
