Crysis Beta Keys ACT NOW

Alan, I thought the beta was capped at 30fps with low settings locked in? did they change it?

Could I have your key? Please PM me. It's 10:20AM EST and it says it's all open (but not really)! dsnfjsdjkfds WTF! :frown: I got a really good computer and everything. Quad core, 8800GTX, etc. *That goes for anybody that doesn't want their key lol.
 
is the beta in dx 9? cuz it very choppy on my laptop on medium settings
 
My Crysis just stopped working... It just spams something like "ERROR <scaleform> gotoandplay ... invalid object, etc." in the console in red letters and it just sits on the connecting window when I try to join a server. Worked before.

I'd post this in the beta forums (http://www.forumplanet.com/crysisbeta/), but apparently I need a password to access the forum that they never sent me.
 
ya its basically battlefield 2 with purchasing weapons and SUPERPOWERS!!

it plays ok for me all medium and 1440x900. even though every time a i start a map every thing is like all yellow textures. its like the textures are taking to long to load or something.
 
I tried to download it this morning around 8 EST but it was closed. :\

If anyone has a key they don't want please send it my way.

Yeah I get those yellow things but they go away after a few minutes. The game's auto detection recommends all around HIGH for my system yet it plays like shit (5-30fps) with no AA. I tried medium, it's very playable (20-60fps) no AA but it looks like shit to be honest.

Gonna give it some more time later, but right now I don't like it at all. Kudos to crytek for making yet another game without even considering the average customer's specs. It's easy to make shit look awesome when you don't give a **** about people's rigs. Farcry had the same problem, crysis is the same bs.

They definately give you a password to the forum if you got a key.

Crysis is made for high-end computers. It's not made for low end computers in mind.
 
Got a key, played it for a bit, probably won't again. Not an impressive game and it runs poorly, even for a beta.

Perhaps the SP is worth the time...
 
I dont know what you guys are talking about its puke its this and that, you guys must have crap computers. I always knew when they said it will be playable on low end machines was BS Its just to get you guys to buy the game.

Crysis is made for HARDCORE GAMERS!!! So if you dont have atleast a Dualcore E6600 2 gigs of ram, 8800GTS/GTX/ULTRA I wouldnt bother playing the beta/Demo/Full Game.

Not trying to be mean or anything. :)
 
The performance issue I'm seeing is things simply not loading, which is ridiculous. It has nothing to do with my system, which while not new or near the top, is hardly "low-end."

I'm calling the actual gameplay crap. It really does feel like just a graphics upgrade to BF2. But to be fair, I went in knowing I probably wouldn't like it. Now I'm sure I don't.
 
I've still got 3 hours left on my download. I've done the whole thing at <30kb/sec.

Yes hardcore gamers who live with mommy apparently. They'll suffer in sales when reviewers warn people of the ridiculously high requirements.
 
Haha, Some guy I was playing with earlier was running Crysis on a Radeon 9550.
 
1hr 30min left....ahhh I wish I didn't have 8am classes tomorrow because at this rate it wont be finished till nearly midnight.
 
it wouldn't matter, I swear the school started to limit our internet. Because it went from stupid blazing fast to....this.

I used to be able to open threads with hundreds of images and they load in like 20 seconds. Now it takes nearly a minute just to load a couple of pictures.

I mean the last time I ran the speed test I got this:

No, that's BS, actually. :P Any $600-800 (or more depending on how far you go back) PC bought within the last two years will be able to play Crysis at mostly medium.

My computer is about a year old now, it's an AMD Athlon 3800 X2 @ 2.4ghz, XFX Geforce 7900 GS @600/1600MHZ, 2gb (4x512mb) Corsair DDR400, Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS, 160GB HDD (and all other parts in and including the tower), totaling about $720. I can run the Crysis beta at 1024x768 with mostly medium with a few low, and I get around 30-40 FPS and it runs smoother after the level and textures finish loading in the beginning. And apparently the beta isn't quite as optomized as the game will hopefully be.

Also, I can also run any UE3 game with all max settings at about 30-40 FPS on this PC, so is Crysis really that much better, or is it more that it's much less optomized?
 
the games looks and runs like crap on a 4200x2, 2g ram, 7800gt ...for a almost public beta it's really rough around the edges ..I've been in closed betas shortly after alpha that ran much better than crysis

Supposedly they made some changes to the latest version of the beta that may affect performance and looks due to them trying to isolate certain issues. Something about shaders, IIRC.
 
i have:
core 2 duo 6400 @ 2.13GHz
2gb DDR 800
8800GTS

and it runs fine at 1280x1024, everything set to medium, 2x AA and "high" quality shaders.
 
the 320mb version or the 640mb 8800 gts? that seems really low, everything should be maxed
 
it's the 640mb version, I haven't tried to max everything out...I've only played the game for like 30 minutes. I may try and do it tonight.

Apparently AA isn't turned on the beta? Even though I can still select AA options from the drop down?
 
i cant get the beta to install anymore. After my initial download, i had xp, but upgraded to vista, tried installing again and after the installation process is complete, no icon, no start menu shortcut...nothing. I found the .exe, but it was all messed up when i played. Now i cant even find it anymore after installing it like 7 times.

You can only get AA to work if you keep Shaders set to high to my knowledge. If you muck about in the system.cfg and add commands, it will set shaders to custom and it will **** up your AA giving you a white screen.

The game recommends all high for a 640 gts which is so wrong.

But to the game's defense, last night I found a list of tweaks by a fellow named 5010 on the FP beta forums. Copied & pasted the stuff and the game is not only smoother but it looks a lot better. And by smooth I mean 50-100fps indoors. So that just shows that there is a hell of a lot of optimizing for Crytek to do if they care about their game.

Name of the thread is "Enabled several features which were disabled.." in the video section. Can't link it because it asks for a pw and ends up taking you to the root forum.

You should of received an email detailing your Beta Key and Forum password (But you will still need to create a UserName too though)
