i just got cs 1.6 and downloaded all the skins i want, but i dont know where to put them! plz help me

make ur own folder after u reach cstrike

I went through c>program files>steam>steamapp>name>counter-strike>cstrike

Then i made my own skin file, put a skin in there and shit happened (nothing happened)

plz explain a bit more, EXPAND on your info

I think that you should do it like this;

Go to the
C:/Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/[email protected]/Counter-Strike/cstrike
And then make a new folder called Skins and add the skins to that folder, im not sure but i hope that its right.

If you're trying to use player models, they must go in the appropriate folders, IE. C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\Counter-Strike\cstrike\models\player\model

Here's a guide:

Arctic: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\Counter-Strike\cstrike\models\player\arctic

GIGN: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\Counter-Strike\cstrike\models\player\gign

GSG9: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\Counter-Strike\cstrike\models\player\gsg9

Guerilla: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\Counter-Strike\cstrike\models\player\guerilla

Leet: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\Counter-Strike\cstrike\models\player\leet

SAS: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\Counter-Strike\cstrike\models\player\sas

Terror: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\Counter-Strike\cstrike\models\player\terror

Urban: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\Counter-Strike\cstrike\models\player\urban

VIP: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\Counter-Strike\cstrike\models\player\vip


Put each model in the corresponding folders, and tada, player models

(Note that you only have to put player models in a sub-folder in models, all other models, such as gun models, go in \models\)
