CS:S German version: light on nazis heavy on crying

Also when you use explosives, instead of blood and gibs, candy should spray out.

I love it when what is meant to protect people just leads to unrealistic and unfathomably stupid methods of censorship that merely lead to disillusioning and altering the populace' concept of violence.

The whole process is essentially: hey impressionable German teens and adults:

A. We don't trust you and think you're retarded
B. When you shoot someone with an automatic weapon, they get a mild headache and ask for a naproxen.

The saddest part is these sorts of things used to do very well for their international public image in the eyes of the U.S. and it's allies during the heaviest of post-WWII censorship.

really, really, really, really old

Hahaha! Sad. Poor effing Germans. Well, I guess they ruined it for themselves!!

Actually, I had that version of Half Life 1.

So I never did get to see the marines, just some weird cyclops thing.

I like how the scientists merely sit down and shake their heads when they've suffered brain damage from a bullet.

oh man that was such a "We Germans aren't all smiles and sunshine." moment

Horst: (Sinister) Okay, Mr. Burns, you win. But beware. We Germans aren't all smiles and sunshine.

Mr. Burns: (Sarcastic) Oooh, the Germans are mad at me. I'm so scared! Oooh, the Germans! (Hiding behind Smithers) Uh oh, the Germans are going to get me!

Horst: Stop it!

Man: Stop, sir.

Mr. Burns: Don't let the Germans come after me. Oh no, the Germans are coming after me.

Man: Please stop the "pretending you are scared" game, please.

Horst: Stop it! Stop it!

Mr. Burns: (Pause) No! They're so big and strong!

Man: Stop it.

Horst: Stop it, Mr. Burns.

Man: Please stop pretending you are scared of us, please, now.

Mr. Burns: Oh, protect me from the Germans! The Germans--

Horst: Burns, Stop it!

I haven't seen the animation in CS:S, but I remember the getting-down-on-knees-with-hands-on-head animation from CS 1.6 (or was it 1.5).

As stupid as the German version of Half-Life is, I think the robots look cool.
