CS S Physics and Clan Strats

How do you guys think the physics in CS S will affect strategies used by clans in matches? Pushing boxes to block a path of an enemy? Blowing a barrel up right when an enemy nears it? Your thoughts...
 
sound great... if you can do bunny jump ... why not ???

OMG... you can do the bunny hop?!?!? if so..... thats one less customer they'll have.
 
they will redefine a lot of strats and stuff

pretty good for the community since the old cs people are quitting one by one

Err... the barrels don't look like they explode?

And how can you push a block to block someone? The person could just push it out of their way :|.

How physics effect gameplay depends on the maps - I very much doubt any current CS maps that will be in CS Source will take advantage of new stratergies involving objects, and the new maps made would really push the potential.
 
I figure barrels and stuff would slow people down, and make noise to give away a team's position.
 
Why not take exploding barrels push them off a bridge, shoot them when you see someone, maybe start wood nearby on fire which would spread, blow up another set of barrels and kill more guys..

You see there are so many possibilities! It really depends on the map though.... I can't wait to see what people think of though...
 
Or if a guy from the other team is running up a hill, you can push some barrels down so that he has to run his ass off :LOL:
 
I agree. I think the old maps will be redone, some misc barrels and what not, but the new maps will most definitly get the physics going. Hopefully people will make really good and fun customs so we can play more maps. I've only been playing CS for a little over a year and my God I'm sick of Dust2 and Aztec!!!

I'm sure clans will consider it, but I dought they would really over-do it. Hell, they move slow enough as it is...

I dont agree, I used smokes to slow people down as ct when I'm in B on dust2. Basicly I chuck it at the front of the tunnel.. so they cant see me until they get out of the tunnel and smoke. Also it generates fps lag on their part (for shit pc's ;p).

I will defineatly be making full use of my surroundings..

I'm sure there will be some new "default tactics" you should do each time you play the map and the like (ie. move some tactical box to random place and hide behind it or something). And due to the great physics there will be more "random"/unpredictable things happening in rounds. The rest is about the same as in current CS.

think of this strat using the physics. your ct on nuke. you are assigned to cover ramp. you move the box on the top of ramp to cover the T entrence to ramp. there no way T can get into ramp with out giving away their position away now. if they blow up the box you no they are they, if they try to move them, you will no they are there and will spam threw the wall or the box to kill them.
