Yeah, I was going to say "No wonder the people were having trouble on that configuration... they should know better than to use cards that don't exist to play CS:S! I'd love to see how Valve fixed that problem." in the other thread on this subject but it was gone before I could hit "Submit Reply."

I think this is a good thing for the RC.

Here what might've happened.

First RC failed, due to (partially) the CS:S bugs. Now that aformentioned bugs have been fixed then we might be on RC 2!!

Reason for no announcement? Want to fix the bugs.

Do you have a cracked version? Go to steam to update Counter Strike: Source, that is if you have a valid-non-pirated version.

OR, considering alot of those things were issues created in the previous patch (which lay before the first RC) pehaps the updates had already been applied 2 weeks ago, but they only just managed to update the beta, steam and other things have had a few issues leading up to now, so they may have been stuck to release this patch.

Only valve and vivendi knows whats going on there.

And the css beta can continue to patch right up to the release, when people go to play retail CSS they will be using steam, and any patches would be downloaded then anyway.

Theres plenty of room for speculation, and no need to panic

technically, they could just update the RC sent in and ta-da. i assume they can do that, given that they have lots of bandwidth and stuff like that. /me stops talking due to ignorance on subject

last night i could only find 1 server up...and now i see alot less than before.

They did seem to up the textures tho and i see reflections on the tile (im on a ti 4200)
