CS:S windowed mode, and minimizing problem

Hello.

Recently, I had a problem in CS:S. The game would launch normally, no problems. But, when I joined a server, CS:S would minimize, and not maximize again. Or would maximize via Ctrl Alt Del and play normally from there on. So, I sent an email to Steam support about this error. The person who emailed me back (TWO WEEKS LATER) said I need to set '-window' in CS:S' launch options.

This has just made CS:S launch in a window, which I get 3 fps in. And I cannot get it out of this mode.

So if anyone could please help me with either problem, I'd appreciated it greatly. And please excuse me if I should not be posting here, it's a last resource. Steam support only made things worse, and now do not return emails after initially only sending one, and replying to one. And I am not able to post on there forums. I have a new account and I get a permission error when trying to make a new topic OR post.

So, in summary, I would like to:

Remove windowed mode (which was set by -window)
And fix this mimimizing when joining a server problem, if possible.

Edit: And please note, I did try to search. But only found how to set windowed mode. Nothing really appropriate to my problem. But please do excuse me if I missed something this is.

What is listed in your launch options besides -window?
(Right click 'CS:S' in 'My Games', goto 'Properties', under 'General' tab there is "Set launch options...')

If you are playing in game in windowed mode, press 'Escape', goto 'Options', under 'Video' tab there is a pull down menu named 'Display Mode'. Change it to 'Full Screen' and then click 'Apply'.
If you do not find a solution this is a quick fix every time you join a server.

P.S.-When map changes while in full screen, does it revert back to windowed mode?

While were on the subject, is there a way to make it impossible to minimize CS? Something like that would help me quite a bit as WSC pops up randomly, minimizing the game.
