CS:Source crashes

Hi recently when I play CS:Source after about an hour or so on a server my computer halts for a second then it restarts this has happened 2x now in past 2 days and the only conclusion i can come to is my gfx overheating but this never happened before.....my specs are 2.8ghz p4 ht 1gig ram 833mhz fsb 120gb hd 9800 non-pro.

I'd agree with you on the overheating. Check to see if there is any dust buildup around the fan on your cpu and your gfx card. Also check for any fallen wires that are obstructing the airflow to either cpu of gfx card.

Yep, check the things duffers listed. If that doesn't clear up the problem, open up the side of your case, and put a stand/box fan right next to tit, with the fan blowing into the PC. If there are no errors, you know then that it is overheating.

When you say its halting, you meaning its freezing then rebooting?
If so, is your hard disk clicking?

In the middle of a round of cs after playing an hour or more just recently the game freezes for a split second then i hear a weird beep and the harddrive makes a small noise then my computer restarts but i dont have this problem with other games though =\
