Hi,

can someone explain me how is it with CS:S editor? Is there any way yet that I can create my own CS:S map? Or are waitin for some hammer tool? or not....I am confused...thnx

no not Legally. When hl2 is out, there will be an Editor called Hammer... it will own. Will allow you to make maps, mods, new physics objects etc. There is a "leaked" version out there in Warez land, but it aint worth the hastle of downloading, its moslty incomplete, and suckS!

but I have yet legally purchased HL2 bronze! From advertisment I understand that HL2 will be playable soon, but CS:S is playable, so I am looking for a tool....still nothing?

can we presume that the editor(SDK?) will be available synchroniously with HL2?

SDK = Software development kit. They said that it will be released when HL2 is avaible but i dont know if thats still true. Have a look through that big 'ol Info From Valve thread :O, info in there

ehhh-can you explain what SDK means?

SDK is documentation and tools for editing the games. Usually it includes tools like map making programs, model exporters, and other things like that. It also usually has a lot of information on the engine and what you can do with it. Its incredibly hard to edit without an sdk and requires a ton of very advanced computer knowledge.

Edit: yombi beat me to it

Software Development Kit

From what Valve have said, a simultaneous release isn't looking likely at this point, but it's possible.

Edit: Oops, should have reloaded the page before replying :).
