CS weapons name question

Chaps,

There used to be a small .exe file floating around that changed the names of all the guns in CS back to their pre 1.6 state (eg Clarion was originally Famas, Magnum was Desert Eagle etc).

Does anyone have a link to the file, or know which file within the CS folders needs to be edited to make this change?

I've just got back into my CS and I still find the replacement names really annoying, any help would be appreciated.

i think they replaced the names of the weapons because of copyright laws or something.

It would have to predate comercial CS, that is to say 1.0. When they started selling CS they changed the names, so there is no version of CS where the FAMAS and Galil are correctly identified.

Thanks folks. I managed to dig up my original file from an old back up CD, which was really handy.

The file I have just changes the weapon names, without affecting anything else, and that includes the 'favourites' option on the GUI (which another version I'd downloaded did).

FYI the filename is cstrike_english.txt
