CSS: BOTS Servers ?

How are some people running bots on their servers, are they dodgy cracked servers or something ?

in the filters click the B in the filter list, theres about 5 servers with bots, I wont list them here because they are dodgy and dont deserve a mention!

thats @:£!?"£ annyoing... You can get bots in a cracked version of CS:S than with a bought copy... its says bots are not avaliable in this beta, when you try adding bots in the console... I wasn't aware I was buying a beta!!

it's a valid complaint, in spite of how it was written. valve is sitting on some good bot ai (condition zero,) i'm amazed that they haven't officially ported it to source by now.

You should read my post on VALVe and their BOT making techniques... It was around here somewhere, try under that pizza box... No? Fine, I'll write a short version:
Basically, VALVe set up this beta so they can monitor our moves, and write human-like Bots with it. So don't be surprised when you get powned by a dekstar-bot in the not-too-distant future

I just think Valve should have made it more clear as to what was being made available in the packages.. not everyone spends there life patrolling hl2 forums for answers about hl2 and css

Agreed! Not everyone has time or the patience to play against real opponents. SOme of them are just too good! I can't help getting frustrated when i die ALL the time.

actually the console actually does say "bots are not enabled in beta" when you try the command "bot_add"

and lets stop beating around the bush with this bullshit.

CS:S is Hl2's MP component, anyone who says "well lols u is teh lucky j00 ken ply itz" are total morons.
it is NOT A MOD, it is not made by some 15 year olds in their spare time, AND IT WAS NOT ****ING FREE.
you dont purchase BETAS, you purchase finished products.
it was not advertized as "buy now over steam, and recieve the CS:S extended beta!!!!"

it said CS:S FULL

therefore if someone feels something is out of place, they have the right so say so.
I myself have reported around 6 bugs (not malicious though) in the little amount of time I have had to play. (about +/- 4 hours)

having said that, I have no problems with CS:S, I enjoy it.. even for someone who hated cs.
BUT I CANT ****ING STAND PEOPLE BEING POMPOUS AND ARROGANT AND STANDING UP FOR A COMPANY THAT SHOULDNT NEED IT.

Yeah, VALVe shouldn't have done that. But it's all about them and the Vivendi case. Valve wanted to... Have I already said this?

Anyway, VALVe want to screw Vivendi into getting the Gold statement out quicker by showing the world it has a working (If not totally perfect) Half-life 2 MOD, thus meaning that HL2 itself is in complete working order.

That said, I also love CS. I never got to play the first because I had 56k, but my 1mb broadband has had the best of times so far
