css freezes

ocasionally wen i play css my pc freezes and repeats a sound like a gunshot or sumthing before crashing. Y is this. I have oced my pc to 2.3ghz from 2.2 but this isnt very major ocing. graphics r not oced and im running 6800gt with a gig of ram. wtf is wrong with it.

sounds like your gfx card is overheating , is the fan full of dust , i had the same problem cleaned the gfx card fan and it was fine.
