Current Processor and Graphic Card List

u didn't put in any of the pci express cards. How could you forget the prety 6200 pci express................. Oh and amd came out with the 4000+ now and also the fx55
thx for the reminder on the AMD cpus but they are already up. I have not got around to doing PCI-Express considering most still buy AGP. I'll add them in the future.

You also forgot the Athlon 2600+ (2.13GHz, 266FSB, 256Kb, Thoroughbred) which is the one that I have.
I didn't add that because it isn't current.

or AthlonXP-M versions....
I didn't add that at first because I was just doing desktop CPUs. I'll probably add them soon.

What is the main difference between the PCI and AGP graphics cards? (noob question)
'Cause I've been shopping around and I've noticed the Radeon X700 PCI Express at $100 cheaper than the Radeon 9800 PRO. Isn't the X700 of a later generation than the 9800?

Anyway, I'm looking for a card to replace my rare Radeon 9100 card. I'd prefer to stay with the ATI brand as they have worked well for me over the years. Preferably a card that is fairly recent, but not over $200 USD :p . Does such a card even exist?

Pci express cards have more bandwidth and can transmit data in full duplex (both directions at the same time). But the performance gain of an ahtlon 64 outweighs the performance gain of pci-express. So i'd wait for the nforce 4 or the k8t890 which will bring pci express to the athlon 64 platform.

I think you should put down that the socket 939 3000 and 3200 are 90nm
I think I might. Although you should already be able to tell from the fact that it's a Winchester core. ;)

does anyone know what the best graphics card available for pci(not pci-express) is?

Um, i got a question, have been searching thru this forum, but haven't found it yet :
I got a TI4200 128 Mb videocard, and have installed directX 9.0c
I have a 1.2 Ghz pc with 648 mb sdram, but the game won't go further with installing then the DirectX message in the beginning ( "directX on this computer is equal or higher then direct X 9.0 )
then it stays on this message ( how many times i click on "next" no dice, it stays on the same message..)

is my pc too slow, or is my card outdated, or do i need directX8 with the patches?

please help me...

Did you select to install DX9? Can you exclude it before you start installing?
Otherwise you could uninstall DX9.0c and install the DX9 then from the installation.

It says in the list that all Semprons are Average performance :p

Hey when looking at the clock and memory speeds of a normal Radeon 9600 it says 325/400, on my card im getting 324 /182. Its a saphire version with 256Mb of RAM. Is there any particular reason to why my card is doing this? help would be appreciated.

Exacly 7 days left until i get my new pc:

AMD Athlon 3200+ Socket 754
Gigabyte MB K8VT800 AMD64
1024 mb ram PC 3200 400 mhz
XFX Geforce 6800 128Mb
HDD 160 GB
DVD rom player 16x
19 inch Yakumo CRT

+ Half Life 2 lol, i already bought the game on DVD-rom, but i dont have a dvd-rom player, it comes along my new pc.

I'd add the ti 4600 if you could a lot of people still seem to have one (Including me.)

128mb (8 pipe I think) Clocks: 300/650 (1300)

These clocks..300/650 (1300), are we to assume from this that your memory is running at 1300mhz...I think not... you meant to say 300/325 (650) did'nt you?

As in my old Ti4200 was 250/550 (DDR memory clocked at 275mhz, effectively 550mhz).
