Alright.. It seems every single person that comes into my server cannot download my textures from my map. They get that pink/purple thing. A friend of mine said I had to make a RES or something in notepad but I have no clue what he is talking about. Is their a way to enable a auto download or something?

I don't know what a res is but you could try bspzip to embed the textures into the map

Their wouldnt happen to be a more simple way would their? this confuses the hell out of me.

maybe in notepad you could press save as and type the file name followed by .res under that it has to be set on all files then once you save it drag the textures into it

this is shear speculation but that is the only way i can think of to use notepad to make a .res

unfortionatly this did not work. The clients still werent able to download anything.

You need to use the bspzip.exe program in the srcsdk/bin folder to embed things in the BSP.

I dont understand how to use it though.

The format is a command line:

bspzip -addfile "c:\oldbsp.bsp" "materials\myfile.vtf" "c:\materials\myfile.vtf" "c:\newbsp.bsp"

There's also CannonFodder's winBSPzip, a GUI of the same, but since it's in RAR format, I couldn't tell you how to use it...
