jeez we gamers are just the scum of the earth ..first we are influenced by games like GTA (on the weekend I like to jack cars and run over hookers) ..now the israeli army has banned Dungeons and Dragons because “They're detached from reality and suscepitble to influence,”

"One of the tests we do, either by asking soldiers directly or through information provided us, is to ask whether they take part in the game," he says. "If a soldier answers in the affirmative, he is sent to a professional for an evaluation, usually a psychologist."

man gamers get a lot of crap from non-gamers "Games are evil!! ....ummm have you ever played one? ...No, but I just KNOW they're EVIL!!! EVIL EVILLLLLLLL!"

Of course we are staunchly persuaded to get "America's Army" even if all the other games were to be banned.

I know you guys might have different opinions on guns but its the same sort of thing with banning guns.......its all down to people, not the objects............
Scapegoating.

Its easy for people to "take action" and ban objects but they always avoid the actual problem at the source.
Its like a firefighter putting out the top of the flames.
Games do not make you kill, you would have to want to kill in the first place unless you are easily influenced (mental problems, very young child) .......in which case you shouldn't be playing violent games really.

that newgrounds video of the 8-bit D&D is hiliarious, "roll the dice to see if im getting drunk!" ... "are there girls there? Cause if there are i wanna DO THEM!"

Commander: Men, move in and clear that building!
Soldier: Use my +10 mace!

"Put the dice away before I throw them away!"

Naturally, because I doubt you're going to kill many enemies by shouting "lightning bolt lightning bolt!" and wave your arms in threatening manners.

Nor would it be beneficial to have a Field Medic who would just say "don't worry, I'll res him in a minute" when a soldier is hit.

I have never played D&D... I will soon though ^_^

People who are that into D&D ... well, they shouldn't be carrying guns should they?

lmao.. no it is not real.. it's from a TV show on a station called 'comedy central' you may have heard of it? The show is Reno 911.

It's some funny stuff - but fake nonetheless.

Heard of that show, and of course I've heard of Comedy Central. You're mean :(

Would be totally awesome if it was real, though. Yeah.

Its easy to tell its fake simply from the guy playing the person anyways. He's a famous comedian! Well, not incredibly famous, but I recognize him anywhere.

I think if you showed up for work at the border patrol site on the West Bank dressed as a Minstrel singing 'Brave Sir Robin' or in a He-Man costume saying 'I have the power!' then perhaps you might be in need of seeing the army psychologist.

But just playing Dungeons and Dragons (which I did as a kid but do no longer) is no big deal.
