got the same error again..........Internal driver error in IDirect3DDevice9::()......wtf???......also...HL@ has caused an error in ENGINE.DLL ;(

This Is Irritating As Hell!!!!!!! Help Meeeee.........i'm Melting!!!!!!!!

update your drivers, reinstall DX9c (I think thats the latest version)

delete the configs and clientregistry.blob (doesn't hurt and seems to fix a lot of things)

if that doesn't work, try uninstalling it and reinstalling/downloading from scratch see if that helps.

And verify the cache files... click my username and then "Visit bliink's homepage!" to do that.

Still The Same Freakin Error!!!!!!...........what Gives?.........help Please!!!!!!!! :( sorry....i'm a newb to forums

You still haven't told us what the exact error messages are. You said you did the first time you reported this problem but you didn't because it's different this time.

Go and get the error. Write it down on paper. Type it EXACTLY in a post and it may give us more information. Even the smallest difference in what you've written on one single word missing might give us the answer.

Before doing that though you might as well click steam://validate/220

"Internal driver error in IDirect3DDevice9" as well

Yeah... about that error.... It is "Internal driver error in IDirect3DDevice9:: Present*(). HL2 shuts OFF hard. Icon is still on Task Bar, but you have to Task Manager it to death.

I am running a 128M 9600XT AIW with the very latest Omega drivers.

I am reinstalling directx9 right now.
