Ew. To evil^milk, not to spiders. They are truly awesome arachnids, weaving intricate webs. Granted, they're not all nice (Black Widows, Shelob), but they serve important roles, and whenever one gets inside where I live, I take care to let them out safely.

This applies to insects as well, even the stinging types.

We call crane flies "mosquito hawks" here, and we never get any of the daddy long legs, just house spiders, brown recluse spiders, and garden spiders.

It's a blanket term that can be used to describe those insects and arachnoids with long spindly legs.
There's no zoological rule in force that says otherwise!

theres a couple different "daddy long legs", one is the spider that has really fkn long legs and usually makes webs in your garage, and another is actually a mite i believe, or maybe its in its own group I cant remember, but yea its body is just one segment unlike the spider, which has the usual 2, also they smell like ass if you piss them off

After watching those videos, all I can say is I love insect eating mammals and birds.

Go birds and snakes. Eat all the spiders and centipedes you want.

I forgot big lizards. Eff words I HATE bugs for the most part. I'm gonna go get me a big gila monster to live in my apartment and eat all the bugs that come in.
