This band is really good. i like their songs 'new build', 'mind matters', 'lost to apathy'.....

Yeah, they've produced some great Melodeath over the years. Character's a fantastic album, but everyone I've spoken to seems to dislike Damage Done. I believe it's just as good.

If its that sound we are talking about, I just prefer In Flames. I can't get into many more bands at the moment, especially if they sound so similar.

Considering that so many of the Gothernburg bands do sound really similar (In Flames included), I think Dark Tranquillity have a pretty different and unique sound from the rest of them. They're definitely less melodic-oriented, and a lot heavier on the guitars and drums; occasional blastbeats, for example.

Not to mention the electronic elements here and there definitely add a unique flair.

Blastbeats? Yes. Electronic elements? That's where they lose me. In Flames has done way too much of that recently which is why I haven't bought an album since Reroute to Remain (which was weak anyway). I am all but out of my melodic death phase now though. Its crossover thrash for me now.
