This expansion of Half-life 2 is awesome!! It feels like Half-life 1..only alot more harder. I recommend playing this on hard difficulty for it to last the longest..definitaly harder than Half-life 2. Try it. It's awesome!

Yeah, this mod was awesome, and very hard. I was 10-50hp almost the whole time (hard). The place really felt like a big station, there were so many places go and the occasional antlion guards made me panic hard
Ending was kinda silly, but that big hall was still impressive.
We want more!

Make sure you press the button that grants vault access in the one little room. If you've done that, and there is still no path, you'll just have to start from your last save. The first time I played there was a bug and the gate didn't open, so I had to start over.

I just installed it and played it through, and its awesome. IT really is like playing Half-life 1, all that close corridor fighting with a few extra bits. Great little mod, download it now!

btw, are we meant to start with a gravity gun? I never had one when i played, i had to shoot down the batteries, but now i think about it the grav gun woulda made more sense

There's one that you can find in the base

The grav gun is near the bottom of a larget drilling device. The same one where you can see Combine fighting an antlion guard.

Ok im retarded but I can't get passed the part with the drill, I got the rocket launcher and the gravitiy gun and all but im stuck walking the platforms by it, am I missing something?

This level kicks ass, yes I got a half-life 1 feel for it, but with all the bullshit levels that have you shooting hoards of krazed mother ****ers over the corse of 10 minutes it stands out way above the rest, like the levels that used to be released for jedi knight back in the day.

I loved that mod thingy. It was feakin hard. I played it on hard mode and the ending was pretty cool though, even though the boss was kinda easy. Yeah when i first met my antlion gaurd, i was at 10 health and was running around trying to find health.

Ive played through about 5-10 minutes of this first level. Pretty cool, but that constant droning noise is very annoying. And I don't know why people keep calling it a mod, it is simply a map (or 3 of them, rather). It's not a modification.

These are the best sp maps i have played in a long time, and the closest yet to the quality of actual hl2 levels!

In fact, this is the first sp level that has actually done some DECENT scripted events. god, he must have put so much effort into it, its awesome.

It does remind you of how easy HL2 was tough..I'd liked it if hl2 was just as hard as this. ( still I think hl2 is the best game ever made)

This mod is a good indication of things to come, with sequels to The gate ( best hl mod imo ) and they hunger etc coming up

It's very hard so far, im about half way through on hard. I tear through HL2 on hard but oh my, i'm bearly clinging to life most of the time here.

I fixed my CTD problem but the mod is still very hard, i'm always low on ammo and health.
Still i love it, cause the map is not completely linear and it really fits well with the half-life atmosphere.
I'm still on second level, don't have so much time to play, but i look forward to finishing it.

Yeah....i got stuck in the same bit....

went running around the map for about 10 minutes...then found somewhere i hadn't been pressed a blue button and hey presto the door swings upwards allowing me to load drob3... YAH!!!.....

by the way.... DAS ROBOSS was awesome....from start to finish...

although i did waste half an hour on the first bit...drob1 stacking barrels to get out of a stupid hole that i fell into instead of walking along the cross over bits..... took forever as the barrels kept falling of each other....damn i crack myself up......

anyway...then i realised that i could have spared that half an hour by using my crowbar on an iron wall.... how sad....truly and utterly....it made me cry.... but i still lvoed it..... especially the end...with the two guns which have those awesome strider-like fire thingys but they come from the sky??? very cool...... nice work!!! tylak....
