Man... other than all the entrapment claims and other things that this show receives criticism for... does anybody else think that this show is really creepy and sick in a way?

I mean... there has to be a far better way to go about doing a show like this. The way they do it now is quite reprehensible honestly. Do they really have to read all the logs out the way that they do, dramatizing it and shit? It's perverted in its own right.

I mean... look at all the Soundboards that Chris Hansen has saying all the ****ed up shit he reads back from the chat logs. LOL

Surely he has to regret the fact that they go to such lengths to make the show as entertaining as possible by reading out all the sexually charged logs the way they do.

I have a problem with the way suspects are treated after the interview with Chris Hanson.

"Alright, there will be police waiting out there for you"

"Alright sir"

*walks out slowly*

*closes door behind him*

*puts hands in the air as he first steps on the driveway*

*five cops come out and tackle him*

"GET DOWN, GET DOWNNNNNN DONT MOVEEEEEEEEEEE"

Like he just gunned down an entire building or something.

Yeah, I've seen situations like that too.

There is no need to do that when the guy is showing that he is fully cooperating.

This isn't about protecting a pedophile either, it's about how officers should treat people, anybody, who is complying willfully.

This is enough for me to know they need to rethink their methods.

But the show is cancelled indefinitely, so...

To capitalize on something as ****ed up as child molestation is nearly as ****ed up as the crime. An awful show and sickening that people would watch something like that.

I'm surprised I've not been on that show yet. I mean, the second I walk in, see Chris be like. "Oh, is this not Jose's house? MAN, I was hoping to get DRUNK with him!"...

Yeah, that wouldn't work.

Can't say the ****s don't deserve it. The Hanson smackdown part at least.

This guy makes excellent claims that express how I feel too.

Except he says in there that they do not know what went in the chatroom, they do not see the transcripts. That may be changed now from when it was then... because we certainly get to hear all the disgusting details now.

Chris Hansen and Perverted Justice are sick, manipulative, opportunistic pricks who aren't doing anything to solve the problems presented on the show other than humiliate people using borderline entrapment.

It's pretty entertaining to a sick voyeur like myself, though. /hypocrisy

Yeah, the whole concept kinda' grosses me out. Why does everything have to be presented as a show over there in the States? Let the cops do their goddamn work like usual, without bringing in David Caruso or whoever the f*ck to sensationalize it. I mean it's pretty ironic how NBC is fine with dealing with such a controversial subject while still trying to keep it "clean" by censoring nudity, profanity and whatnot.

If they're really craving for a manhunt show why not go after corporate scum? Oh wait, because it's not in the interest of the network? :O I dunno...

Nah, I'm just ranting because I got busted on the show in last season. It was embarrasing but kinda cool cuz I got to meet Chris Hansen...and then the cops came, it was so awesome :bounce:

Why would someone from Finland come to the states to do a kid? LOL

I think it's for awareness/humiliation. I can't believe, even with this show on air, that pedophiles STILL drive hundreds of miles to 13yr old girl's houses for sex. Plus if you're caught on the show you've been nationally shown as a pedophile...pretty dang embarrassing.

I can't stand it. Documentary style programs about these sorts of things are one thing, but To Catch a Predator exists solely to be entertainment. You shouldn't look for pleasure in the misfortune of others, no matter how screwed up in the head they might be.
