There was a rumour that David Tennant would regenerate into John Simm and John Simm would regenerate into David Tennant in one of the specials.

I doubt this will happen though.

John Simm was back around series 4 to film some more footage according to set reports etc, which people thought would turn up in series 4, so either they are going to do that story in one of the specials, or it was for the upcoming regeneration scene when Tennant leaves.

Either way, seems probable we get more Simm in one way or another, as there doesn't seem to be any reason for Simm to be doing any more filming for it if he was done with Who.

P.S. don't ask me where I got it from, it was on Outpost Gallifry around the wrap of season 4.
