Dawn of War 2

Needs more: Elysian drop troopers, Gaunts Ghosts Tanith steathler units, Death Korps of Krieg defence units, Cadian armoured companies...

Needs more variety, basically. The DoW games have been a bit meh to me because they simply haven't been able to capture the spirit of the tabletop games, at least to me, anyway.

Guard regiments don't typically mix units. As such the Cadians were the perfect choice as the basic imperial guard representitive. Most other of the "famous" regiments in the guard are incredibly extreme and specialized in their role by comparison.

I hope they take some of the improved gameplay from CoH and stick in this, I don't care about what the lore says, but being able to reinforce squads with no real requirement broke the gameplay...also bring in connected territories/supply lines, it makes for much more tactical gameplay and also makes it so that the entire map is used rather than units clumping together somewhere in the middle.

I'd much rather it be purely tactical gameplay. No territories at all, like you get a pre-determined amount of points to make a squad. Special weapons, reinforced squads, or extra squads all cost points. So you could have one pimped out squad or a few basic squads. Terrain should be destructible, but also helpful. A squad in cover should have an advantage over a squad not in cover. Mannable buildings, and maybe even weapon emplacements. Maybe, if the host/you allow it and you have enough points, even stick in a basic transport or assault vehicle. Races should be fairly specialized, but have most of the more popular units (Rines; Basic Space marines, assault, terminators,
Nids; Gaunts, genestealers, carnifexes,
Orks; Boyz, rokkit boyz, Nobs,
Eldar; Guardians, various others, wave serpents;
Dark Eldar; Warriors, others
Tau; Fire warriors, kroot, battlesuits
Chaos; Marines, Berserkers, Daemons
Necron; Warriors, immortals, pariahs
Guard; Cadians, sentinels, portable weapon emplacements
Inquisition; Sisters, Grey knights, inquisitors

Aye, I was personally hoping that DoW would be Ground Control in 40, (ie decide which squads you want, kit them out how you want, drop into the sector, blow the crap out of the relevant objectives, head back to the LZ and then back to base for tea and medals) but those hopes were dashed.
