Day/Night cycle

Yeah Snakebyte is most likely correct there. It's not just the sky that is getting darker. EVERYTHING is :)

Yeah, its the camera because hes going form a dark location (tunnel) to outside so im guessing the camera needs to audjust for light changes

Nice that there already is a mod for this... then we definately will be able to try this in CS:S. The problem is, this should be a default feature in the final release. Mods tend to get forgotten, and the biggest part of the cs community aka the pros will never play it. Nor will the big tournaments... :( If the pros are forced to play it then everyone will play it... one thing is true though, it would bring some new life to the game for sure.

I'll say it again. Yahn seemed pretty interested

i think the server should choose if it wants to play day/night maps/scenarios.
or each map should have a day/night version -
play a round of maps then come back to them in the dark - eg
de_dust_light,de_dust2_light,de_cbble_light
THEN
de_dust_dark,de_dust2_dark,de_cbble_dark

only a thought

Tried that AMX mod btw... it did get darker after a while, but only one "level" then it didn't change.
Not pitch black as promised in that forum thread posted above :(

Here is that map i said i was going to make... I canned some stuff. Just extract to your cstrike directory in steam. I took me like 30 mins... I had to position the sprites right to much. Right now the link dont work but it should start to work soon. Check back in 30 if you still care.
