Watching the recent 2D story trailer for Mirrors Edge reminded me that I intended to post these not unpleasant animated comic story oddities for Dead Space:-

I don't know if anyone's been paying attention but I just watched a presentation of the game on G4's E3 coverage show for a few minutes.
Game looks pretty cool, if not a bit gimmicky with the gore system.

Hud system is cool. It seems like a rental at most.

It doesn't look terribly innovative or anything, but it looks like it will be fun to play. I like the atmosphere though. I was just thinking that I would probably like games like this if there were far fewer enemies throughout the game, but each enemy was way way wayyyy harder to handle than they typically are. The player would also have to have far less ammo/health/armor than is typical. I think doing this would increase the player's anxiousness, with him/her really dreading the next enemy you have to face.

Game looks meh, but the way they do the HUD is like way awesome. Waaaaay.

Awsome and original HUD system, and the game itself is actually looking decent from the last look at it, Ill keep my eye on it.

wait...

That looks much better than I expected - like The Thing meets Metroid.
