I don't know if I missed some announcement, but I've suddenly noticed that the entire section is gone. Quite dissapointing, hoped to have some fun with that, seemed like it had generated quite a bit of interest (atleast when they first announced the second one). At any rate, the zombie RPG was a pretty fun read, and I'd appreciate a link to that thread.

It takes a life to create a life. The revival of the £ sign required the death of the RPG forum. Also, the community project section is gone as well.

How dare they close a section of a forum I never visited.

I am outraged.

I noticed it, but I didn't care enough about it to make a thread. Now loss of the Image Dump would be worth making a million threads about.

You have a point. Remember when halflife2.net used to look good? As in, sort of better than it looks now? Well, that had to go when they updated vBullitin to give us new features which I'm not sure what they were because I never really used them anyway. I'm sure someone was planning to make a replacement banner for the forums (we used to have that one with some Dog concept art on, remember?), but it never materialised.

Goddamn, the lounge looks so damn empty without it.

It really does. It doesnt really affect anything, but its just awkward to see the lounge without the rpg section. I imagine its what it would feel like to have your pinky toe amputated.

Good comparison. It's just... blank where it shouldn't be.

No GMs = inactive. Inactive means death.

Give me 6 months and I might get excited enough to start another one - just need a good idea and another GM or two.

I want to play an RP, so I'm out for GM purposes.

Besides, I'm too lazy to ever get stuff done.

Nothing ever gets done in this community.

In a way, we are exactly like Valve.

But with far less excuse.

I see you're back to your nefarious ways, Darkseid.

He's just pissed off because Obama won all that money back.

I know it didn't have to be, Smoke and I just found too many hurdles in our way to make it what we thought would be an enjoyable RPG - I may one day have an amazing epiphany and figure it out, that day I will start another up somehow.

All said, don't let that stop anyone else from trying - just make sure you have it planned enough not to fail and that it has the ability to keep on going for at least a few months IRL.
