Icarus: "Only CS:S, no Deathmatch?"

These few words disturbed the huge Half-Life community once again in their sweet HL² dreams. I got something as "If they don't do it, We'll do it!" and what started out as a quick brain impulse ended in posting this proposal on this message board. Since I, myself spend many many hours of my spare time playing Half-Life 1 Deathmatch on LAN and Internet it felt not right not giving the possibility for new-generation gamers to experience an alike old school deathmatch adventure.
When I thaught about the requirements to realize this very doable project I came to the conclusion that with few but dedicated talents we can bring the Half-Life fanbase a pure quality mod.
This is why I made this thread here on this board. I'm curious if some of you might think alike me about this issue. If you feel right to take part in this project feel free to reply on this thread or contact me via e-mail on [email protected].
I have the intention to finish this modification with a very reliable team of 4 to 5 people. Please when advertising yourself do put enough information regarding knowledge, experience, etc.
The principle is to adjust the HL2 game code so multiplayer Deathmatch becomes possible. NPC Characters
taken from the singleplayer can be enhanced to playable multiplayer models.
Altered singleplayer environment serve perfect for possible multiplayer maps as well as revamped Half-Life 1 maps and maybe later on brand new maps are understandable.
This is not much work compared to other ambitious modifications and a small crew of gathered talent is more then enough to create an over-the-top Deathmatch expierence.
