Decent PSU?

17A on the 12v?

NO!!!!!!

It doesn't so much matter the watts, just make sure it has good amps on the rails. Look at the sticker and make sure the +3.3v, +5v, +12v all have 25A or more(maybe a BIT less). 12v will also be your most important as that powers some of the most crucial parts. Don't skimp when it comes to PSUs or you may end up killing your computer and having to replace parts.

Powmax is a terrible brand.
Thermaltake, Enermax, Fortron, Antec are all good quality units.

Thermaltake generally is the lower priced units of the bunch so if you are on a budget look to them.

i know there is a nice thermaltake for like 60 that you could get, forget what its called, just look for it on newegg

I'm gonna go with this Rosewill I think. Before I order, I'm gonna go brush my teeth and poop. Dissenters have ten minutes. If anyone has a reason why the Cap'n should not buy said power supply, speak now or go to hell.
