^ that was a lie, and lets face it, not very helpful. its like a server that runs when you are using the program for a certain game or whatever, except you cant play on it but its much faster with less lag.

I dont know that much about it, wait til others post.

Lol. It's a program that only can run in a server configuration. As opposed to when you run CSS or whatever you are playing which can act as either a client, or a client-server.

And what DJ said is true.

Also this has little to do with modifcations, unless we're talking about a dedicated server for a mod.
