This is very addictive game, at least at the beginning. I started yesterday and I'm now at stage 30. I have 1000 archers and 240 wizards. Try it! It's extremely amusing. I was amazed how huge following this game has, the massive forum has thousands of members who are trying to make new records.

How do you get archers? I've got the Archery and there's a flag ontop of one of my towers but i don't have any archers

make a temple to convert your attackers
then when you have one, drop an attacker lightly inside your castle
then click on the flag to make an archer

My archers and wizards everyone jus die for random reasons. I dont know but sometimes when i finish a level it says they are all dead.

Maybe you don't have enough spendable money(points). Every troop costs a certain amount of points. if you don't have enough some of them will die. I'm not sure but I think that's the reason. I lost some men too before I realized that you need points to keep them alive.
